Corinne Shibley
Corinne Shibley studied sculpture in art history and created her own sculpture on the way to a B.A. in Studio Art. "There's something wonderfully satisfying about sculpting", she said recently. "One of my favorite forms of sculpture, relief sculpture, retains the original material, with the forms breaking free their origins." An artist of many mediums, She received an award for excellence in textile design from Mary Washington College. She has also received awards for the cleaning and restoration of the murals in the chapel of St. Joseph's Villa in Richmond, Va.
She developed and published a book on her own original quilting method. Experimentation spills into her other interests, including cooking, jewelry making, and candle making. She loves cooking almost as much as she loves to eat. Recipes are only as good as the ingredients used, and she's a firm believer in using the best ingredients.
